Sad news indeed! Dec 6, 2018

I vividly remember José as an inspiring, friendly, polite and cooperative colleague who
always added a constructive creative view to whatever was discussed (which really very often is not the case).
Posthumously let me send my greatest thanks from me, certainly including many of our then colleagues, for your great spirit which was so envigorating to all of us in the early days of the fantastic community of ProZ.com.

Such sad news Dec 13, 2018

The translation community has lost an extraordinary member with the parting of José.

My first reaction was, this cannot possibly be. José seemed to be omnipresent and always ready to offer his advice that came from his extensive experience and his thoughtfulness and consideration for his colleagues, especially for the new ones. Never once did he hesitate to answer questions, even in emails.

My sincere condolences to his family and friends. José, you will be painfully

So sad Dec 14, 2018

It just seemed that he'd always be there. He seemed very evolved in his career, and I had it in mind to ask him some questions about the work. Not to be. But he left quite a legacy.

He was a real professional Dec 18, 2018

I have been away from Proz for some time, and I now heard of his passing away.

Jose and I (and many others) exchanged comments on many forums where he had great insights which were precise and to the point and always helpful. He was a real professional.

I sure will miss him, and may his soul rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to his family.

What a shock! Dec 18, 2018

I just read the news in the newsletter, and I had to read it two or three times just to make sure I was seeing correctly. I'm so sorry to hear this news. I really enjoyed reading his posts on this forums, especially his comments about Brazil's high interest rates and how translators weren't lending institutions. I would nod along in agreement, "That's right brother, preach on!" And now he's... gone. Rest in Peace is all I can say.
