I am a native speaker of American English and I have been translating a variety of documents into English from Portuguese, Spanish, and French for over 7 years. I feel confident with any type of document that comes my way within my areas of expertise. I specialize in the legal realm but am also very comfortable with many business-related documents (specifically in finance, marketing, and correspondence). I also have extensive experience with technical documents - specifically in Portuguese and specifically in the aviation, mining, maritime, environmental, and oil & gas industries.
In all my years translating I have never missed a deadline and I take pride in the quality of my work. I double and triple check any unknown vocabulary, my grammar is fine-tuned, and I can format almost any type of document to perfectly mirror the source text (this includes images, stamps, and other various anomalies).
I have been cleared by the US Government for Moderate Risk Public Trust Access. What that means is that I have been submitted to a rigorous background check and was deemed safe to handle confidential documents.
I work from home and have flexible availability. I am available most major holidays and weekends. My rates are negotiable. It is not common to find native English speaking translators with my level of expertise and experience. I value long-term client relationships as opposed to one-off jobs.
