Source text - English When do I wear the XYZ System?
Wear the XYZ System according to your physician prescribed wear activities and time, but no longer than 30 days.
Do I need help to use the XYZ System?
The XYZ System has been designed to be used by the patient, but if the patient cannot dress the XYZ System or cannot charge the battery it is recommended to request help from a family member or caregiver.
Can I use any bra or clothes on top?
Yes. The XYZ System has been designed to be used under any bra or other garment.
Am I supposed to adjust the straps?
During the hook up the qualified healthcare professional will adjust the straps, but if you feel the straps are too tight or too loose you can readjust them. Check the XYZ pressure chart to confirm the straps length.
Can I exercise while wearing the XYZ System?
Yes. You can perform sport activities increasing the straps pressure. You cannot use XYZ system in water sports. Before practicing sports tighten the XYZ adjustable straps and cover XYZ with the protective sleeve.
Can I shower or take a bath while wearing the XYZ System?
No. The XYZ System cannot be used in water environments. Please take off the XYZ System before taking the shower or bath.
Is it normal to experience skin irritation or itchiness in the area of the XYZ System?
Some patients have reported minor skin irritation and/or itching while wearing XYZ System. Wash with soap and plenty of water. Do not use the XYZ System again until the irritation has disappeared. Then set the XYZ to avoid the irritated area. Please decrease the XYZ pressure and add conductive gel to the electrodes area.
How do I know the XYZ System is working?
The REC indicator (green light) flashes every 5 seconds indicating the XYZ System is recording the ECG properly.

Devo ajustar as alças?
Durante a montagem o profissional de saúde qualificado ajustará as alças, mas se sentir que as alças estão demasiado apertadas ou demasiado largas pode reajustá-las. Verifique o quadro de pressão XYZ para confirmar o comprimento das alças.
Posso fazer exercício enquanto utilizo o Sistema XYZ?
Sim. Pode realizar atividades desportivas aumentando a pressão das alças. Não pode utilizar o Sistema XYZ em desportos aquáticos. Antes de praticar desporto aperte as alças ajustáveis do XYZ e cubra o XYZ com a manga protetora.
Posso tomar um banho ou duche enquanto utilizo o Sistema XYZ?
Não. O Sistema XYZ não pode ser utilizado em meios aquáticos. Por favor retire o Sistema XYZ antes de tomar um banho ou duche.
É normal sentir irritação cutânea ou prurido na zona do Sistema XYZ?
Alguns pacientes relataram ligeira irritação de pele e/ou prurido ao usar o Sistema XYZ. Lave com sabão e muita água. Não volte a utilizar o Sistema XYZ até que a irritação tenha desaparecido. Coloque o XYZ na localização superior para evitar a área irritada. Por favor, diminua a pressão do XYZ e adicione gel condutor à área dos elétrodos.
Como é que sei que o Sistema XYZ está a funcionar?
O indicador REC (luz verde) pisca a cada 5 segundos indicando que o Sistema XYZ está a gravar corretamente o ECG.

My name is Leonardo Coelho and I am a medical doctor and medical translator from Lisbon, Portugal.
I've always had a knack and a passion for languages, and I currently translate from 3 different languages, English, Spanish and Italian, into Portuguese.
My fluency in Spanish comes from my bilingual background, my mother being Argentine and my father Portuguese. I reached full fluency in English at the age of 17 in 2010, when I attained the C2 level in the Cambridge CAE exam. In 2015 I passed my second C2 language exam, the CELI-5 certificate for Italian.
In 2017 I obtained my medical degree (MD) and along with working at the hospital, I started working as a freelance translator in the medical sector, where I can deliver high-quality translation, proofreading and copy-editing.
I make it a point to deliver natural texts that address the culture and lifestyle of the target audience (European Portuguese) rather than a straightforward translation of a text designed to appeal to the source-language reader.
