A web-accessible dictionary of language used within an area of special interest that is built up and continues to develop as a collective, not-for-profit activity.

The web design is simple and graphics free to make for quicker access, downloading and copying. In particular, the design makes this resource easier to access by those with older equipment, software and slower connections, e.g. some users in developing countries.

CODT Editor Paul Burns:

I began to work with survivors of torture in October 2000 and this stimulated my interest in extreme events and reactions to them. CODT is a way of helping me learn more about trauma. There are many great resources already on the web but I wanted something to help me quickly find unfamiliar terms and to remind me of the key ideas of a concept.
