I have been engaged with the English language since my early childhood. After graduating at a Hungarian-English bilingual secondary school, I got admission for the English language BA in Business Administration course at the University of Pécs, Hungary. During my studies, I had the opportunity to further improve my English in Ireland for a semester. I acquired my MSc degree in Economics in 2003 at the University of Pécs. My field of specialisation was European Union studies, so after university, I was working in the Hungarian public administration as a project manager of European and other international funds. One day my boss told me that all the English language letters being sent from the ministry should be of the same quality as my letters, and that was the point when I realised that the only enjoyable part of my job is translating (official letters, presentations, reports). I decided to study translation and interpreting and when I received my degree I quit my original job and started working as a translator full time.
