COVID-19 Portuguese to English Medical Medical (general) Covid 19 patient reports
Hi all, I am doing a big batch of Covid 19 records from Brazil. This sentence appears at the bottom of one record. The patient was treated for low oxygen saturation.
I am not certain what PI stands for in this context.
Any ideas gratefully received!

"The adsorbed vaccine COVID-19 (inactivated) produced by Sinovac (product under investigation) will be compared to placebo." ttps://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33059771

"Those eIND requests are submitted by an individual practitioner to the FDA. If granted, the request permits the patient to receive Expanded Access to a drug or biological product under investigation (as long as the producer of the product consents).

As the FDA’s policy currently stands, it will only consider eIND requests for the treatment of COVID-19 for individual patients, not prevention."

Note from asker:
Hi Oliver, I'm not sure this is correct in this context but thank you for your suggestion.
