Spanish term
Socio Promotor y Socio Protector
Spanish to English

Hi,
I'm translating a document relating to an employee benefits scheme, and there are a number of parties involved. The "Socio Promotor" is the party that sets up and regulates the scheme. The "Socios Protectores" belong to subsidiaries of the "Socio Promotor" and are the employers that make contributions to the plan. I understand that one of them should be translated as a sponsor, but I'm unsure how to translate the other.
Thanks in advance

Spanish term (edited):
Socio Protector
Scheme Trustee
I agree with sponsor or alt. sponsoring member - for Socio Promotor - rather than 'partner'. though a company can be made a 'corporate partner'.
Though a trust and trustee are 'recognised' in Scots Law (Butterworths, Glossary of Scottish Legal Terms), the English Law of Equity - that spawned the concept of trust or cribbed the Norman-French law contrivance - is most definitely not.

Example sentence:
IATE: es protector COM protector de un fideicomiso COM en protector COM trust protector
In trust law, a protector is a person appointed under the trust instrument to direct or restrain the trustees in relation to their administration of the trust.

Note from asker:
Thanks for the input. The problem I have is that they don't appear to perform any trustee role. They are simply the entities who decide to join the scheme to be able to include their employees in it and subsequently make contributions |

: I'm sorry, but every time you start going on about Scottish law I just switch off.
