German term
Wer anwenderspezifische Lösungen bietet, schwimmt nicht mit der Masse!
German to English
Marketing
Business/Commerce (general)
It seems to me that ... "schwimmt nicht mit der Masse" would have a "catchy" translation. What do you think? This is for a business brochure/pamphlet for a trade fair.

lead rather than follow
What I haven't yet figured out is whether the author of the original sentence thinks of offering user-specific solutions is a positive or a negative thing. If it's a positive thing, then "lead rather than follow" or Teresa's "think outside the box" are good solutions for "schwimmt nicht mit der Masse." But if the author is talking about these companies in a negative sense, then I'd go with Kim's "are not going with the flow."

The German idiom "mit der Masse schwimmen" would be equivalent (in meaning) to the English "to run with the crowd."

You can't off user-specific solutions, if you are stuck in the mud
Or: Those who are stuck in the mud can't offer you user-specific solutions
Or: It takes creativity to be able to offer user-specific solutions.

Chiming in late. Considering there may be a graphic showing masses of fish here, this one could work.

I am assuming that "wer" refers to themselves. ;) (If this needs to be a complete sentence, just add "we're" at the beginning.)
