I would not say that "rush at" has necessarily negative connotation. IMO it always indicates moving with a great deal of energy, possibly driven by strong emotion, which I think could also be positive (attraction?)

so basically to be angry at? that what i was thinking, but wasn't sure. "burst out at" would be better.

Momentálně nevím jak si poradit s tím "chudák" - většinou by se dalo přeložit jako "poor me", ale netuším, jak tohle zakomponovat do stávající věty.
