I am no expert and have no context, but I have to wonder why a wheel would be a hage and not a hjul. Could it be the escapement - the ends of the pendulum ticking against the teeth of the escape wheel?

agree Brian Young : Yes, I am certain you are right. I have usually heard it referred to as simply the "escapment". The balance wheel is something else. The balance wheel and the pendulum both supply a regular motion, the escapment transmits that motion to the mechanism
