Both are actually correct, however, accounting is more frequent, especially in the USA.

: Difficult, seems that 'accountancy' is more frequently used in collocations, e.g. 'accountancy fee/firm etc' but also for the study of 'accounting' and for the work done by an accountant. Tricky.
