I have a text that uses the words 'souscription' and 'abondement'.

I've never seen the second work before and think it could be a misspelling of 'abonnement'.

Suggestions?

Also, what the difference, if any, is there between a subscription and an 'abonnement'?

difference the "abondement" (also known as "matching shares") is the employer's contribution, rather than your own "subscription" to company schemes.

Indeed, the spelling in the document is 'abondement'. Apologies.

I presume that it has the same meaning as abondement but since I've never seen the word before I asked here to be sure. Thanks!
