Suspect "concrete splintering" but haven't been able to confirm this.

This is the technical term used for one kind of concrete defect that involves the notion of 'éclater' — I am only slightly unsure, as I do not know if one or the other term might be more / less restrictive in its usage.
Hopefully, this will at least offer you an avenue for further research...
