C'est simplement un élément d'un menu en provenance d'un restaurant.
Il y en aura probablement plusieurs dans les questions à venir.
Un grand merci de votre aide.

Discussion

writeaway Aug 27, 2004:
no-en crote here in not crust-crote is a crust of bread-not this context
Non-ProZ.com Aug 27, 2004:
in pastry : Ne pourrait-on traduire 'en crote' par 'in crust' aussi ?

hot goats cheese in pastry

or baked goats cheese en croûte
or goats cheese in a hot puff pastry case
or something along those lines!
Peer comment(s):

agree Philip Taylor : I'd say warm (rather than hot) goat's cheese in pastry, though

agree writeaway : agree with Philip-is definitely warm-in fact often on menu as warm chèvre en croûte. depends on how sophisticated the restaurant expects its customer to be :-)

indeed - its difficult to know where to pitch menu translations, as so often most of it would go untranslted if it first appeared in an english restaurant - depends if they want an english version of the menu or an explanation I supposes!
