français term

charpentes arrivée ligne

français vers anglais Technique / Génie Énergie / génération d'électricité electricity generation
This is from an environmental impact report for a power plant. This is a caption on a photograph of a 400 kV sub-station and is pointing to the metal framework holding up the wires. I really just wanted to check whether there was any special term for these charpentes, or whether metal framework/support strucutres is sufficient?

Many thanks

incoming line gantries

Assuming, that is, that they have said "charpentes" where they could/should have said "portiques". Depends what they look like.

overhead line support / stay poles

For what it's worth, Oxford-Düden pictorial dictionary (I'm actually going off the Spanish-English which I have to hand) has these terms. "Stay poles" is the term used for the L-shaped beams closest to the transformer ("overhead line support" for a pylon).
