look, once you have the mould, you can cast a thing a thousand times...BUT, to jack up the desirability on the art market, you MIGHT only cast it once...
so here, they are either saying these are ONLY CAST ONCE and never again OR they are saying the artist is present during casting which still makes it unique in a sense ...to make sure the liquid bronze is POURED correctly.....nha nha nha
At this point in your sculptural adventures, I advise steering clear of PIECES in the plural....whaddya say? :)

By the way, I don\'t mean cast a 1,000 times from ONE mould...but you can usually cast more than once....for sure...

: with "considered" being the key point, since as Oddie helpfully explains, they're not actually unique in the conventional sense. And I guess the numbering thing explains the cause-effect relationship that 'devant' seems to imply (to me).

Encore seulement une explication de l'artiste de service - la loi prévoit qu'on peut faire 8 tirages du même bronze, qui sont numérotés et signés, mais attention : chacun de ces 8 bronzes est considéré comme une oeuvre unique car il est numéroté, signé et les finitions sont exécutées par l'artiste. C'est paradoxal mais c'est comme ça.

: que cela soit 8 ou 8000 cela ne change rien à la traduction...each casting is in fact unique...8 can't be unique they can be individually cast works

c'est une question légale - si tu en fais 8000 tu n'as pas droit à l'appellation "unique" et donc au taux de TVA réduit
