For all of these sorts of organisations I leave the French acronym and explain in English. There is no English equivalent.

: I'm all for simplification, but this is not nearly specific enough. You can't turn "agents généraux d'assurance et mandataires non salariés de l'assurance et de capitalisation" into "insurance professionals".
