Tape can imply a strip that is joined at both ends. Or not. Strip doesn't seem to imply that. Since I don't know how this "bandeau" is going to run through a machine, tape seems to be the safest bet, because it could do so either way. Hope this helps.

disagree Tony M : I don't think 'tape' works at all here. Surely this 'animation' is something being dsipalyed on a screen, I would have thought it is maybe 'animated strip', but context is unclear...
