Latin term

dum vivimus, vivamus, labore et honore

Latin to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings Newspaper slogan
The above saying is located at the top of the front page of a newspaper, along with the date, volume and issue number, publisher, etc. According to the owner, the saying means:

"Let Us Live, While We're Living, By Labor and Honor"

Not being well-versed in Latin, I am not certain how close to or far off from the mark this is. Any help is much appreciated!

agree BrigitteHilgner : Isn't it strange that they love such Latin mottos in the USA where hardly anyone understands them?

Let's enjoy life while we are alive. Labour with honour.

I'd say, Let's enjoy life while we are alive. Labour with honour be our guide.

Dum vivimus, vivamus. (Anon.)
While we live, let us really live.

Labore et honore. (motto)
Labor and honor.

Let us live while we can, by our own efforts and with dignity.

Freer, idiomatic, hits the sense.
