common grasslands
I think this might be it - the difference between the other terms and "utrina" is one of ownership rather than level of cultivation.
Does the land all belong to one property?
See Pg 4 of this reference.

I think it's non-arable, wild grassland, and it's used for grazing

Da li se može menjati namena pašnjaka i utrine (da bude oranica, građevinska zona…)?
- Ne, oranica ne može po svojoj prirodi, jer su utrine i pašnjaci neplodna zemljišta, ali može voćnjak, šuma…
Also, in this law, Article 6 gives use including "gathering wild fruit", which shows that it's uncultivated.

I'd say, given this, "rough grazing" or "uncultivated grassland" are other possibilities.

Note from asker:
I do not think that ownership is relevant in this case, what matters is what kind of land it is (arable, non-arable) and whether it is cultivated or not. |

: "Lea" seems to me to be a more literary word (also according to the OED definition), though the Webster definition fits.

Definicija iz pravilnika Floride o klasifikaciji zemljišta
300 RANGELAND
Historically, rangeland has been defined as land where the potential natural vegetation is predominantly grasses, grasslike plants, forbs or shrubs and is capable of being grazed. Management practices may include brush control, regulation of grazing intensity and season of use. If revegetated to improve the forage cover, it is managed like native vegetation.
Generally, this land is not fertilized, cultivated or irrigated.
SWARD - Many farms in Ireland have swards that can not grow enough grass during the year especially in spring and autumn. This is mainly due to the absence of a sufficient quantity of perennial ryegrass in pastures... (http://www.agresearch.teagasc.ie/moorepark/Articles/Positive...
