...we say "mammy" (often abbreviated to "mam" or "ma"). Although we live in Italy my 2 year-old son calls me "mammy", much to the amusement of all our neighbours. | | |

That's how small (and sometimes not so small) Danish kids call their mother. It's in two syllables - "mo-ah" - and you don't roll the r's in Danish. Mor just means "mother". | |
