Bio
Originally from the culturally diverse Penang, Malaysia, I grew up in a country that has more than 3 languages. This multiculturalism means I read and write Chinese, English and Malay, in addition to some lesser known, local dialects.

Having completed my studies to degree level in Malaysia, I moved to Glasgow in the early 2000's to further my studies to Masters Degree level in Architecture at Strathclyde University, during which time, I was a Chinese Language teacher to a group of local students.

Having an architecture and construction engineering background, I am not just capable of doing general interpretation but also have the vocabulary required for specific, professional terminology.

I have been working as a freelance interpreter and translator for more than 6 years, working predominantly within hospital, social work, local government, education and corporate environments. I also provide private tour guide, voice over and personal assistant services.

I am interested in widening the scope of my translation and interpretation experience, and would welcome any opportunities presented to me that allow me to develop in that direction.
