Solution jaune. — Dissolvez 46 g de chlorure ferrique R dans 900 ml environ d’un mélange de 25 ml d’acide chlorhydrique R et de 975 ml de l’eau, puis complétez à 1 000,0 ml avec le même mélange. Titrez et ajustez la solution à 45,0 mg de FeCl3, 6H2O par millilitre, par addition du même mélange acide. Conservez à l’abri de la lumière.
Titrage. — Dans une fiole conique de 250 ml à bouchon rodé, introduisez 10,0 ml de la solution, 15 ml d’eau, 5 ml d’acide chlorhydrique R et 4 g d’iodure de potassium R. Fermez la fiole, laissez reposer à l’obscurité pendant 15 min, puis ajoutez 100 ml d’eau. Titrez l’iode libéré par le thiosulfate de sodium 0,1N en présence de 0,5 ml de solution d’amidon R ajouté en fin de titrage.
1 ml de thiosulfate de sodium 0,1N correspond à 27,03 mg de FeCl3, 6H2O.
Solution rouge. — Dissolvez 60 g de chlorure de cobalt R dans 900 ml environ d’un mélange d’acide chlorhydrique R et de 25 ml d’acide chlorhydrique R et 975 ml d’eau, puis complétez à 1 000,0 ml avec le même mélange. Titrez et ajustez la solution à 59,5 mg de CoCl2, 6H2O par millilitre, par addition du même mélange acide.
Titrage. — Dans une fiole conique de 250 ml à bouchon rodé, introduisez 5,0 ml de la solution, 5 ml de solution diluée de peroxyde d’hydrogène R et 10 ml de solution d’hydroxyde de sodium R à 30 pourcent m/V. Faites bouillir doucement pendant 10 min, laissez refroidir, puis ajoutez 60 ml d’acide sulfurique dilué R et 2 g d’iodure de potassium R. Fermez la fiole et dissolvez le précipité en agitant doucement. Titrez l’iode libéré par le thiosulfate de sodium 0,1N jusqu’à coloration rose, en présence de 0,5 ml de solution d’amidon R ajouté en fin de titrage.

À Noves, la cuisine de Roger-Alexandre Charpentier se trouve en parfaite harmonie avec la Provence qui l’inspire. Merveille de simplicité, l’assiette du jardinier est plébiscitée par les clients. Le plat sera l’un des incontournables d’une carte sur laquelle figurent le caneton en papillote aux herbes di Provence, la cote de veau grand-mère, le rognon printanière, le coquelet grillé et le petit Noves – une mousse glacée au praliné, marinée au rhum avec des raisins de Smyrne.

In Noves, Roger-Alexandre Charpentier’s cooking was in perfect harmony with the region of Provence that inspired it. A marvel of simplicity, the mixed vegetable dish was a tremendous success with the customers. The dish would be one of the essential dishes on a menu which included duckling en papillote with herbes de Provence, veal cutlet “grand-mère”, kidney with spring vegetables, grilled cockerel and le petit Noves – a frozen, praline-flavored mousse, marinated in rum with Smyrna raisins.

I spent three years working in software companies in Paris, France where I spoke only French on a daily basis. As such, I am quite familiar with the language used in translations for the corporate world. I maintain my language proficiency through contact with my professional network in France and the U.S. as well as with my Paris-based family who I visit on a regular basis.

My background in the software industry means complete familiarity with the technology I use on a daily basis including Windows 7 and 8, iOS, Android, SDL Trados Studio 2011, Microsoft Office 2013, and open source localization tools such as Poedit.
Active in the industry
I am passionate about the translation industry and participate enthusiastically in our local and national chapters. I am an active member of the American Translators Association and currently serve on the ATA PR Committee. I am also a member of the Northern California Translators Association where I served on the board for 5 years including 2 years as board president.
