I am a freelance translator currently based in Denmark, but native to nowhere in particular. Owing to my upbringing abroad, I learned to speak Danish and English around the same time, but became far more proficient in the latter over time. I have lived in 14 different countries, including several years in the UK.
I have worked with freelance translation since 2012, but I only decided to pursue it as a full-time occupation in 2015 when I moved ‘back’ to Denmark. Prior to that, I have worked across Southeast Asia and Europe for the Red Cross, ActionAid, the European Union and The Local, Denmark’s largest English-language news site.
My background – personal, educational and professional – has given me unique and rich insight into both the languages and specialty areas I work with, which I use to provide accurate translations of a high quality that capture the meaning and tone of the source text. |
