I am a freelance translator, editor, and writer. I do not offer certified translations simply because of the cost of obtaining and maintaining certification.
I provide faithful translations as opposed to word-for-word or free translations. I believe translation is a collaborative effort and leave comments throughout my work. For example, when I come to a word that I believe is a typo, I translate it and then leave a comment for either you or an editor.
Since I prefer to translate legal, technical, or scientific documents, I believe accuracy that is true to the original is a priority. If I am translating a court transcript and the person speaking is repetitive or inserts "thus" excessively, I will not simply skip over this.
I am currently booked with freelance projects for the next 1-2 months, so I am not responding to urgent job invitations at this time. I always give priority to employers with whom I have previously worked.
