Maybe I'm just wary, but I've noticed a pattern emerging, probably it's always been there but I haven't been here long enough to tell..
I see some users doing all the "hard work" translating and interpreting a phrase in the particular context, only to see their 4 points snatched by other users who come up with an identical suggestion maybe only differing by a word, preposition, vowel, or other very minor detail.. Maybe I'm just wary, but I've noticed a pattern emerging, probably it's always been there but I haven't been here long enough to tell..
I see some users doing all the "hard work" translating and interpreting a phrase in the particular context, only to see their 4 points snatched by other users who come up with an identical suggestion maybe only differing by a word, preposition, vowel, or other very minor detail.. I've seen this time and time again and I think it's a bit unfair on the hard workers, I mean, at the end of the day it's frequently just a matter of opinion or personal choice, more often than not there are many correct answers, so if I come in at the last minute with a fancier synonym and get the points because the asker fell in love my fancy word (which I probably got via thesaurus synonyms anyway despite having the best part of a week to think about it..), it’s just not fair, is it? See what I mean?
I don't blame the asker obviously, I can't totally blame the last minute chancer either (well I could but I’m far too gracious and well behaved for that..), but the first answerer who did all the hard work must feel like a right muppet, surely? So, to all you hard workers, respect (reverently bowing here)
