I feel sure that this question may have been asked before but I haven't found it. When I look at Kudoz glossary questions I see a lot of nonsense letters(?) on buttons and throughout the page. Is this a Java script problem. Whatever it is, does anyone know how to fix it? I had the same problem on a different computer.

The problem makes it difficult to navigate. At one stage I couldn't find the button I needed to respond to a query.

Example of what I see: ÅÞÊÑÍ ÅÌÇÈÉ

Could it be you have the wrong encoding set in Windows? Nov 17, 2004

Usually such things appeared because of incorrect encoding settings in Window. However, I'm not sure if it applies to your case. There are surely a few topics in the forum about changing the encoding settings. I think normally it should be Western European.

These people are experiencing the same problems. Is does not seem to be a browser setting problem.
