Suggestion: Date/timestamp on Notes to/from Asker Postavljač teme: Gina W

I have a small suggestion regarding the Notes to/from Asker in KudoZ questions: can the date/time be listed next to each “Note”? Or, perhaps the time elapsed from when the question was posted (ex: 2 hours 9 minutes, like the way answers are labelled)? I know that obviously we are all in different time zones. But the thing is, sometimes if I click a question later, I will see an asker’s notes, but then I would be trying to figure out if those notes were posted before or after which of ... It would be useful to know, because it could affect whether or not I would propose an answer. Obviously, if I were able to follow along the evolution of each question, that would be ideal, but if I’m not able to do that, it would be good to have the above information.

I, too, have felt the need for such a "time stamp". Great idea!
It would be a useful addition.
I'd also like to see the option to remove and/or edit (I guess you could always 'edit' your comment to a single blank space to 'remove' it) "ask the Asker" comments. It's unusual in IT applications NOT to have the option to edit/remove user input. But I digress. Hi Charlie - that is a good suggestion, too. As it stands now, in order to remove a "Note", then one has to contact a moderator. If we were able to edit and/or remove our own "Notes" (like the way we can do so for the agree/neutral/disagree comments), then that would also save the moderators the trouble.
So maybe we can have both the date/timestamp AND the ability to edit/rremove these Notes?:)
Maria, thanks for your post. I'm glad that someone else has felt the need for the same thing.:)

Anyway, I think a "time stamp" or - as you suggested - a "time elapsed stamp" would be better than only a date. And I fully agree with Charlie too, why shouldnt'we be able to edit our notes? Thanks for posting the topic. | | | Gina W Sjedinjene Američke Države Local time: 15:37 Član (2003) francuski na engleski POKRETAČ TEME Thanks, Prawi | Sep 18, 2005 |
Yes, I think the time elapsed stamp is obviously the most appropriate.
So, other than posting this thread, how can I suggest this to the site staff? | | | I'd welcome this feature too | Sep 18, 2005 |
I suggested the same thing myself a few weeks ago (but no-one noticed, sob):
"I would like to make three more suggestions:
1) indicate the asker's native language
2) include timer for the asker's "added notes" and the answerers' "ask asker" comments.
3) add an option for requesting more context.
Question:
There used to be a timer showing how much time has elapsed since a question was posted. Has this been done away with intentionally?" ... See more I suggested the same thing myself a few weeks ago (but no-one noticed, sob):

I am sorry that you didn't get a response to your recent suggestion but thank you for re-posting your good suggestions here on this thread. Perhaps your prior suggestions just got buried a bit, since that thread seems to have gotten long. Hopefully, this time that won't happen.:)

This question had been asked before by other colleagues. I did it myself too. No response yet.
It was a good feature. Agree with you.
