Book: Future Hype Jan 7, 2013

Anyone who has any fears about machine translation "taking over" should definitely read this book because it was a real eye-opener for me: Future Hype: The Myths of Technology Change

Hi, Jeff. There is nothing to fear. Jan 7, 2013

Machine Translation cannot pose any threat to real translators -- maybe when computers start writing like Shakespeare, with the same kind of insight. This false impression that Machine Translation can produce some positive results is based on a few not that bad translation between such languages as English and German, especially if the text is quite technical, and pretty much standard, like certain simpler manuals. No chance, otherwise.
