Ciao a tutt*,
ho in programma di fare domanda per entrare all'MSc in Scientific, Technical & Medical Translation with Translation Technology all'Imperial College di Londra. Fra le varie cose che richiedono per l'ammissione c'è anche l'attestazione della conoscenza dell'inglese con IELTS 6.5, ITOEFL 600 o Cambridge Proficiency C.
Qualcuno di voi che abbia sostenuto di recente uno di questi esami qua in Italia può darmi delucidazioni e/o consigli in merito?

ti scrivo velocemente per dirti che ho fatto il test IELTS al British Council di Milano nel 2006. Secondo me è abbastanza semplice ricevere la votazione che ti richiedono al MSc dell'Imperial College (che ho frequentato anche io!!! Ottima scelta!!!).
Ho comprato uno dei libretti con la simulazione dei test, mi sono preparata per un mesetto e poi sono andata a fare il test. Due settimane dopo mi è arrivato a casa il risultato.

No problem.
Ricordo che, al contrario, fare il TOEFL era un pochino più complicato, soprattutto per la preparazione (anche perché conteneva prove di grammatica (quando ero negli Stati Uniti ho seguito un corso di preparazione al TOEFL e ricordo che c'erano degli esercizi grammaticali da pelo nell'uovo... però parliamo di 10 anni fa, non so se ora è la stessa cosa!).
Comunque ti consiglio di telefonare al British Coucil più vicino a te e farti dare tutte le info del caso. Altrimenti dai un'occhiata al loro sito internet.
Poi, se hai bisogno di altre info, scrivimi pure in privato!
