I did not go into this believing I will see my money. That money was stolen from me in December 2006/January 2007. That was 2 years ago already. I spoke up for what I believed what right. I wanted to warn all my colleagues not to be conned by Whelan, not to believe his lies.
I also don't think the government will be involved in our case. Of course, the government always gets their share before anyone else.

Whelan was ordered NOT to work as a translator and NOT solicit work. These were conditions of his release. Want to know what Whelan has been up to since the day he's been arrested?! Exactly the opposit of what he's been told NOT to do!!!
That's what angers me the most. Our justice system is a complete joke!
The Whelans of the world will never learn and stop their activities because our system lets them get away with it, time and time again.

Unbelievable! Are you saying he is out there, conning translators again? If he is outsourcing, he must be conning people, because if he did declare his earnings as required, he would get caught for breach of conditions right away.
Like I said, not that I am mean, but people such as this Whelan should be locked up. Now, imagine if he was arrested for child molesting, and he was breaking his conditions. His case would be already closed, and he would be in jail. Of course, stealing money, as unfortunate as that may be for the victims, doesn't compare to child molesting. Still, I can't believe they are letting him get away with it this easy. ▲ Collapse

He's actively asking for work and of course, outsourcing. We've already filed complaints with the necessary authorities and are waiting to hear back...
Like you said, stealing money is not a high-ranking crime like car theft or child molestation...
Now you understand why my colleagues and I are not letting Whelan get off the hook that easily!

He'll keep doing what he's doing until he's locked up... but unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it's going to happen anytime soon
