Wikipedia has a Google Translate problem

Guilherme Morandini, an administrator on the Portuguese Wikipedia, often sees users open articles in the content translation tool and immediately publish to another language edition without any review. In his experience, the result is shoddy translation or outright nonsense, a disaster for the edition’s credibility as a source of information.

Google search results have the same problem May 2, 2020

I often get wikipedia hits in Dutch searches that are MT from the American wikipedia. Mostly useless... I'd hate for the Dutch wikipedia to have MT'd American wikipedia entries too!
