Bio
I have great enthusiasm for languages and have been interested in them since my early school years. Since then, my fascination with languages has grown into an obsession with communication, particularly between different cultures, spurring significant interest in language learning, cultural studies, and translation and interpreting studies.

Consequently, I enrolled in and completed a bachelor's degree in Spanish with International Development from 2010 to 2015, including translation and interpreting modules.

After finishing my bachelor's degree, I worked as a property claims agent for 13 months in AXA Ireland. I have combined this experience and the knowledge I've gained with translation to specialise in translating insurance content.

Regarding my language skills, I would not have reached the level I have without my language tutors and assistants. For this reason, in 2017, I moved to Vietnam to teach English for Occupational Purposes (EOP) to give other language learners similar help and support that I have received throughout my journey. I continued to teach English for another two years, but instead of living in Vietnam, I taught students from China remotely from Ireland. I continue to offer language services for those who study English as a second language.

In 2020, I decided it was time to follow my dream of becoming a freelance translator and enrolled in a master's in Translation, which I completed in 2021. Now, I help businesses expand their market through language.

I work hard so that my clients can rest easy, but more importantly, I work smartly. This means I don't accept work with too short of a deadline or work on a project with a subject topic I am not familiar with because it affects the overall quality of my work.

In addition, I believe in working hard for what you want but think it is essential to enjoy what you do for a living, whatever it is. By combining these two notions, I also offer translation services for the sports (football and MMA) and video games sectors as they are my main hobbies. I currently transcribe and subtitle sports interviews, and I keep up-to-date with terminology by practising MMA (the last seven years) and watching live events and regularly playing and watching football.
