We're in the saddle

Both in the double sense of 1) "we are now firmly on our way" and 2) we are literally horse riding. This fits a little (but not completely) with the double meaning of "siamo a cavallo" mentioned by Cynthia as a reference.

It is an idiom. It means that one is close to achieveing a goal. There is a pun, here.

Siamo a cavallo! = We're almost there! We've almost made it!

It also means that one is being lucky because they have found a way to solve a problem.
