Glossary entry (derived from question below)
French term or phrase:
le retour
English translation:
the return (of puritanism)
French term
le retour
Et c'est alors qu'on verra poindre, dans la reponse, le retour du puritanisme contre la sexualite, qui s'efforcera de remettre en question la place que lui а accordee Freud et tentera de minimiser toujours davantage le role de la pulsion sexuelle et son lien au plaisir.
" retour du puritanisme contre la sexualite". Autrement dit, quelles sont les relations entre deux notions? Le puritanisme est un verso de la sexualité? Ou il se retourne contre elle?

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Daryo
: roughly yes, but there is nothing to indicate that it must be about the present times. This ST coud well be part of some historical recapitulation.

Not at all "roughly": = your "best answer" (Dbox): Have you never heard of an historical present? (IF that's what's required here)

puritan attitude against sexuality

philgoddard
: I don't understand this, but I wonder if you could be confusing "retour" and "se retourne", meaning " is a reaction against".

Nope it is a puritan attitude against sexuality

AllegroTrans
: Asker wanted translation of "retour" (in context)

Certainly no reason for a disagree.

Daryo
: agree with AllegroTrans // in my limited views, "translating" a term means translating that term, not just picking and choosing to translate instead any related term you fancy // Wrong kind of "creativity" ...
