Presentación

Discussion

AllegroTrans Jun 7, 2022:
Submissions Whilst I agree that these two documents have been "submitted" I think "submission(s)" is the wrong term.
In a court, the stage of presenting arguments is known as making “submissions”. Submissions are intended to persuade the court to find in your favour. They can be oral or written.
A defence is not classified as a submission, it's a pleading.
natylosada (asker) Jun 5, 2022:
More context:
Presentación de (name), en su caracter de apoderado patrocinante de (name), por medio de la cual informa el estado del fideicomiso, en foja X.

submission

'submission', in the sense of a document that is submitted for consideration by the court.
Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : You could be right but only if these are indeed submissions, https://www.armstrongfamilylaw.co.uk/news/three-types-of-sub... but it occurs to me that 12) sets out who the lawyer is etc. and 13) is either the defence or a summary of it. More context

Both 12) and 13) include references to en foja X, which means that they have been incorporated into the case file - and that implies they were *submitted* for that purpose.

presentation

This would work in English
12) Presentation of (company's) lawyer...
13) Presentation of xx's defenc(s)e...

Depending on the content of 13) you might consider "summary"
OR you could (pg style) keave it out altogether

Definitely not "appearance"

agree Jennifer Levey : Not wrong.

Exhibit

As defined in Black's Law Dictionary, "a paper or document produced and exhibited to a court during a trial or hearing...as a voucher, or in proof of facts...more context would be helpful.
Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : Doesn't work for 12) - I don't think a lawyer would be labelled as an exhibit!!

Spanish term (edited): presentación (exhorto)

introduction (letter of request / letters rogatory)

This is a pretrial letter of request / letter(s) rogatory. So, if the same word is to be used in both instances, then a general, semi-legal term like 'introduction' or 'introducing' might do to cover both the defenc/se statement and the Attorney. Submission IMO would be at the trial stage.

12) Presentación del apoderado de (empresa) / Presentación de (name), en su caracter de apoderado patrocinante de (name), por medio de la cual informa el estado del fideicomiso, en foja X. > *Introducing* of (name), in his capacity of Attorney acting for (name).....

13) Presentación de la defensa de XX, por la cual se aporta libro societarios > *Introducing* (also: tender and AmE: proffer) of XX's Defens/ce whereby a register of members is adduced.

Note that the Anglo-American law of evidence does not rely on a certain number of g/hits for admissibility,

--------------------------------------------------

Post-grading, add 'disclosure' to the mix.
Example sentence:

IATE: medical science [SOCIAL QUESTIONS, health] COM es presentación de pruebas COM en submission of proof

Evidence to be introduced to the court can be a physical piece of evidence, or a document. This evidence must be authenticated before it can become part of the court's record.
