Spanish term

llamamiento

Spanish to English Other Government / Politics Employment provisions
This term appears in the BOE and is part of the Resolución Dirección General de Trabajo (July) in the MINISTERIO DE TRABAJO Y ECONOMÍA SOCIAL section:

I am struggling to find the appropriate term in the context; I think it is something like request / invitation or summon to work.

Any help appreciated

Discussion

Wilsonn Perez Reyes Sep 8, 2023:
"Recall to work" definition Recall to work means a direction by the employer to return to work communicated to an employee after the employee has completed their ordinary hours of work. This includes a requirement to resume work; or a requirement to respond to a call or transaction or a series of calls or transactions that can reasonably said to be continuous that exceed, in total, a half hour’s duration.

heed the call and quickly start on it

Thanks for your help, Wilsonn. I prefer recall (to work), but have included your response.
Peer comment(s):

agree Adrian MM. : often a third-party notice or 'citation to take out probate' in E&W vs. impleader in US AmE https://www.proz.com/personal-glossaries/entry/17552452-llam... // appeal OK, if in the sense of exhortation rather than objection

(to) summon, appeal, call are synonyms that may work.
agree AllegroTrans : third-party notice ? probate ? impleader ? what earthly relevance does AMM think this has to the asker's context?

Muchas gracias, Chris.
neutral Andrew Bramhall : Since when has " relevance to the context" ever been an issue to AMM?

Notification

In all three paragraphs I think notification would fit as a generic translation :
Paragraph 3: "The notification must be made in writing, through the means of communication identified by the employee, within a time frame o at least 5 calendar days prior to the date on which services are to be provided, except in exceptional circumstances, where the company shall give the employee's legal representatives advance notice, which must be subsequently justified with valid reasons".

request

I think you're right and this is the best option - anything stronger would sound coercive.
Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : It is intended to be coercive, i.e. a notification or directive to return to work, not a mere "please yourself"

It's about using the right vocabulary in this context. Request/Requirement is sufficient.
