I am translating a diploma where an abbreviation is used that I am not sure about.
"Il comp" followed by a signature.
I suspect it is a title, perhaps by a school official.
Any suggestions as to what "comp" might stand for?

: Though I don't think 'person in charge' works very well in this context. It's a pity their signature is illegible, so we can't look up their job title.
