Hello all,
I'm working on proofreading a YouTube poker series episode that is being subtitled and translated into several languages. In the episode, one of the players uses the phrases:
"¡Oh, butrónica! ¡Boards butrónicos!"
I've tried to search for the term(s) online but haven't found any definitions; they only appear on a few webpages. Our Spanish subtitling team, whom I coordinate with for the French translations, is also stumped.
Does anyone know what these terms mean? For context, a 'board' in poker refers to the communal cards dealt face up.

It seems like “butrónico/a” and “boards butrónicos” might be poker slang or expressions specific to the game. Without more context, it’s challenging to determine their exact meaning. It’s possible they are colloquial terms used within the poker community.

| Yes, I think it's a given that it's Spanish poker lingo. I definitely should have provided more context, however. One of the players at the table is joking that - had the show they’re featured in had been an episode of another YouTube series in which players narrate their plays via voiceover (the same company produces both shows), the players at the table would say vastly different things: “[producing company] tiene una cosa que se llama [name of show]. Esta mano en [name of show] puesto en cada jugador tiene que ser curioso. En el lado oeste tiene que ser: “Uh, ¿cómo se jugará eso con más de 20 BB?”. [player X] tiene que estar pensando: “Es muy diferente del Omaha”. [player Z]: “Board de alto impacto en el rango del tal”. Y los de aquí: “¡Uh, butrónica! ¡Boards butrónicos!”.” Note: - Omaha is a poker variant slightly different from the one being played at the table. - Rango means “range”. In poker terms, it defines a range of hands a player likely holds given his actions in a given hand. |

I've only found the term in Italian, which I don't speak.

A fast-neutron reactor (FNR) or fast-spectrum reactor or simply a fast reactor is a category of nuclear reactor in which the fission chain reaction is sustained by fast neutrons (carrying energies above 1 MeV, on average), as opposed to slow thermal neutrons used in thermal-neutron reactors.
