من لسان العرب
الجريدة سعفة طويلة رطبة وقيل الجريدة للنخلة كالقضيب للشجرة وذهب بعضهم إلى اشتقاق الجريدة فقال: هي السعفة التي تقشر من خوصها كما يقشر القضيب من ورقة وقال الجوهري: الجريد الذي يجرد عنه الخوص ولا يسمى جريدا ما دام عليه الخوص
Based on this, it appears that there are different understandings of what the term actually means in the source language, thus according to your context the term could mean stripped palm branches, or the palm leaf stalk, or the palm leaf itself.
