"C'est un accessoire bien utile qui m'a permit de placer un disque dur 3,5'' dans un emplacement 5,25'' puisque je n'avais plus d'emplacement 3,5'' de disponible, ayant un boitier PC au format micro. Ce kit est complet et me semble de bonne qualité dans l'ensemble, les entretoises en caoutchouc sont assez souple pour pouvoir absorber les vibrations causées par le disque dur et son prix me semble raisonnable puisque qu'un adaptateur du même type tout en métal n'est pas vraiment moins cher. C'est de plus un accessoire que je n'ai trouvé nul part ailleurs !"

Strictly speaking, a 'grommet' is neither a washer, nor a spacer — it is a rubber (etc.) 'sleeve that fits round the fixing screw, and through the hole in the panel (etc.), usually protruding on either side, with the object of mechanically isolating the 2 elements.
When used for its original function of passing cables through a metal panel without chafing, it is called a 'passe'fils', but this is the term suggested by the usually trustworthy Dassault gloassary for non-electrical uses.

Yes, I'm sure that it's the same thing, the only thing I'm less sure of is if the term 'œillet' can be applied to exactly that — it's used for the kind of 'eyelets' you put through canvas, but I don't know for sure if it stretches to the rubber variety...
