English term

1H-2012

English to French Marketing Marketing Titanium Industry Overview
Highlights

• Reduced activity level worldwide in 2012 lead to reduced demand for TiO2.
• Declining demand for TiO2-pigment from record-level demand and a very low inventory of finished pigment in the last part of 2011.
• TiO2 production on “full speed” in 1H-2012, high demand for feedstock.
• TiO2-production adjusted to the level of demand from Q3-12
• Still – TiO2 production in China reached a new record level in 2012
• Demand for feedstock reduced according to reduced TiO2-production in 2H-2012.
• TiO2 producers purchased more feedstock than needed in 2H-2012 because of existing contracts. Entering 2013 many TiO2 producers have sufficient inventory of feedstock and will aim for building down inventory of finished pigment in 1H-2013.
• “An awaiting attitude” entering 2013 – with positive expectations for the year as a whole

Je comprends bien "Q3-12", qui signifie "3e trimestre 2012" mais qu'est-ce que "1H-2012" et "2H-2012" ?

Merci !

S1-2012

Il devrait normalement s'agir du premier semestre (H pour Half 2012)... Donc en français on parle plutôt de S1 et S2 (S pour Semestre)
