To account for these indirect effects, macro-economic and sector-specific impacts of achieving the 2030 commitments were calculated (using the JRC-GEM-E3 model). These are set out in Table 2 below and are broadly as identified in the 2013 Impact Assessment: the costs of achieving the 2030 reduction commitments are more than offset by health and agriculture benefits (reduced sick leave and improved crop yields), generating a small positive GDP impact.
