Diaphragm Lifting Arrangements and Guidelines

Whenever possible, outer diameter (OD) lifts, horizontal joint (HJ) lifts, and axial lifts will be designed to be the same size and type throughout the entire turbine.
Special considerations are made for diaphragms weighing greater than 10,000 lbs. per half, non-typical ***group stage diaphragms*** and diaphragms that cannot meet the requirements using the standard lifting features and devices described in subsequent sections of this document.
