taglierò i ponti
Non tradurrei alla lettera. A mio parere questo dovrebbe essere il senso.

meaning
maybe this answer can be useful to convey the meaning?
The original line was "I Believe I'll Dust My Broom."
Not that I am saying you were thinking it is a sexual innuendo, but I am sure some did. The broom is life and it is full of stuff that needs to get dusted off. I believe the song was about a man (the singer) wondering where his woman is and suspecting/knowning that she is messing around on him, so in the morning, he'll dust off his broom as in, drop her from his life, leave her, never come back, etc, etc. Much like the cliche, "cleaning out my closet" or "burning the bridge."
I hope that makes sense.
