UPDATE TO THE PICNIC IN THE PARK.

Due to the appalling weather, we've decided to move our powwow to the pub, the Lincolnsire Poacher, 161-163 Mansfield Road, Nottingham, NG1 3FR (01159 941 1584).

I'm afraid that we won't be able to eat our own food at the pub but the Lincolnshire Poacher has a varied seasonal menu which is changed daily. They also offer vegetarian dishes.

I hope you can still join us on Saturday 6th September from 13:00.

The five day forecast doesn't look that promising at the moment but what does the BBC know. In case anyone wants to be met at the bus station my phone no. is 07951 891630. Will be gutted if there is no chance to try Steve's cheesecake! (though the pub does pretty good food if we do get rained off).

Weather and cheesecake update Sep 2, 2008

Metcheck.com is currently showing little or no rain for Saturday pm. I will bring cheesecake whatever happens, despite Asda having no ricotta this morning.

I always seem to spend a bit longer than planned at the Notts Powwows, but with company and venues like that, it is not surprising. Thanks for sorting this out, Frances and Sarah. Wir kommen immer wieder gern! Sorry about the double-posted pictures, did not know the approach.

Hi Dierk, The photos take between several hours and a day to appear because someone on the site vets them first (but instead of telling you that, it just seems like it hasn't worked...). If the pics don't appear by tomorrow, we can try submitting a support ticket. Thanks for being photographericon_smile.gif

It really was worth coming down from Yorkshire again to see you all and have such a pleasant afternoon. Just happy to be part of such a great community. Nice Wurst, Stephen!

No problem Dierk - it must be a robot what does the vetting! You can submit a support ticket to get the second set deleted if you like but it's no big deal.
