Bio

I am a professional translator focusing primarily on English to Hassidic Yiddish. The Hasidic variant of Yiddish is the one that is widely spoken nowadays, both in the US and around the world, and it is quite esoteric, being contained almost entirely within the communities that keep the language alive. In my translation work, I lean towards the liberal end of the liberal-to-literal spectrum, rewriting the texts as they would've been written in Yiddish, incorporating culturally appropriate terminology.

I am usually available on short notice, please contact me via email for inquiries.
