Hi folks!
Now's the time to sign up for the famous annual Edinburgh Translators' Summer Barbecue! Full details of the location will be sent to confirmed attendees a few days before the event, but it is likely to be in a public park about a mile from the city centre, easily reachable by public transport.
We meet at 2pm. Just bring whatever you want to drink, plus meat or veggie stuff for the barbecue, and the ever-bounteous "organising committee" will provide the rest (including rolls)!
If the weather is looking bad or unpredictable, we will instead meet at my house and garden in Cammo (near Cramond in the northwest of the city). Full location and transport details will be provided. Again, it is easily reachable by public transport (approximately 20 minutes by bus from the city centre).
Please sign up now - but ONLY IF you definitely hope to attend! AND PLEASE REMEMBER to change your attendance status to "YES" or "MAYBE" in the right-hand column of the attendance table (see below) right after you sign up. This is done by logging in to Proz and clicking on the little black arrows opposite your name and picture in the attendance table. You can always change your status later (including to "no") if your plans change. This is very helpful to me and Tam (my co-organiser) when planning the event.
And I should also mention: friends, partners and children are very welcome.
Cheers for now, and see you soon!
