是不是大家都放弃翻译这个行当了? Jun 2, 2015

去年读了Ying Wang的几个帖子,很受鼓舞,一脚迈进,加入了Proz。快一年了,我这块自留地还是贫瘠难堪,这里也越加冷清。是大家活太多无暇分心,还是弃了翻译这个行当?

我近期也是比较忙,来得少了些。不过,有空的话,还是会来的。

很遗憾,又听到你负伤的消息!我觉得,可能是你平时运动少,然后想运动时就把握不好节奏,运动量过大或过于激烈,结果自己的体质就吃不消了。平时不运动的人,偶尔一运动过于激烈,常会出现不适应或问题,值得注意。

Based on your description and my own affliction/sufferings, you might want to check with your doctor and make sure that it's not gout.

你的不幸让我想起前几天背《新概念英语3》里的一篇“Funny or not”,讲了一则 “sick humour” 的故事,主人公就是扭了左脚又扭右脚,我看到你的故事就不厚道地笑了。我需要自责一下。

话说回来,运动时一定要小心,举手投足得悠着些,不然容易扭腰、扭脚。好在你年轻,应该恢复比较快,好好保养,注意不要二次扭伤。

时间过得真快,你一脚踏进来快一年了,我也坚持了两年了。赶项目忙碌得腰酸背痛的时候,没活闲着的时候,我也时不时问自己,选择做自由译者是对是错,还好每次的回答都是肯定的。

刚开始的时候,空闲时间多,就好好利用这些时间提高翻译水平,并且多多推销自己。把时间看作宝贵的资源,善用这一资源,就不会因没活干而沮丧。一起加油吧!

這個廣東話好像叫痛風,我家老父就有這個毛病。吃咸的食物太多就會發作。

我是純粹的走路發呆踩空了扭到,不過謝謝你提醒

那就好。纯粹是踝骨扭伤比起痛风要好得多了。 像你说的,痛风在饮食方面是有很多限制的。 不过我刚刚在网上搜寻了一下,中医在跌打损伤后饮食上也是有一些说法的。 这篇稿件供你参考:

身体受伤是令人很沮丧的一件事。本来一大盘计划全都打断了。

推荐一个活动:踢毽子,很能活动筋骨,感觉最适合久坐的翻译员,而且不限场地。

一天下来,感觉最累得竟然是腿,因为久不运动,偶尔出去逛街都感觉腿脚不灵活了。


久坐是很伤身,今年我买了一副哑铃和一对俯卧撑支架,坐久了就做上几组,即活动了筋骨又休息了大脑,看着隆起的肌肉还是有种额外收获的喜悦感。

你是對的。以你這個年紀應該不是痛風,因為大部分女性 50 歲前都應該不會患上。

‘痛風’ 其實不是廣東話,是正宗中文。

'拗柴' 卻是正宗廣東話

無論如何,半年之內發生兩起扭腳事件,也算頻繁了。

有機會和物理治療師 physio 討教,看看如何避免再次受傷。

現在遇上肌肉筋骨扭傷,都流行冰敷;在適當治療護理下,應該很快痊愈的。

BTW, I had a colleague back in East Fishkill, NY who loved to play basketball. At one point he thought the constant swelling of his ankle was due to inadvertently spraining it, only later to find out that it was due to gout.
