Hi. I am running Windows XP with an up to date Norton Internet Security package. Every couple of minutes I get a message "Symantec Shared Component has encountered a problem". It doesn't cause any substantial problem but is amazingly irritating when you're trying to concentrate on a translation. Does anyone know how to get rid of whatever is causing it? Many thanks in advance.

Not enough information

But in any case - try to contact Symantec support. They are quite collaborative and will certainly have better knowledge than anyone of us here. I'm also using Norton Internet Security (this year again after many years of usage of different products) with WinXP SP3 and do not encounter ANY troubles with NIS. Now I have a direct comparison to McAffee Internet Security (installed on 3 of my 4 PCs) and I have the impression, that NIS is better.

I have tried Symantec support - no reply so far but I guess it takes a little while.
